Ida lived in Mt. Healthy from 1927 until she died. She worked as a Beautician for JC Penney in downtown Cincinnati. She never learned to drive, She took the city bus every morning and every evening to and from work. She also had a beauty parlor in her house to bring in extra money. Her grandson now owns her house in Mt. Healthy. Her father was Frank Chance whose family was from Virginia. Henry August Scheidts' father came over from Germany. Henry had one brother, Anthony Peter Scheidt.
